Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join their dynamic team in Georgia. This role is essential in supporting the daily financial operations and maintaining organized accounting records to ensure accurate and timely payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval.
• Set up and maintain vendor accounts, including required documentation (e.g., W-9s).
• Process payments via ACH and check.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate/resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate coding to general ledger and AP subledger accounts.
• Support purchase order matching and invoice verification processes.
• Maintain organized records to support audits and reporting.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding payment status and inquiries.

Qualifications

• 3-6+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience supporting full cycle AP processes.
• Experience with purchase orders and invoice matching.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel required; experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or Infor preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Salary Range

$21 - $23 per hour
